The name European Dream, its logo(s), and associated visual identity elements (collectively, the European Dream Identity) are distinctive signs identifying the European Dream initiative.
They are not covered by the open licences used elsewhere on this website.
Ownership
The European Dream Identity is owned by European Dream.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise:
- the name European Dream,
- all current and future logo versions,
- and the associated visual identity elements
are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Licensing status
The European Dream Identity is not licensed under:
- the European Union Public License (EUPL), nor
- the Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike licence (CC BY-SA).
No rights of reuse, modification, or redistribution are granted by default.
Permitted use (nominative use)
Nominative use is permitted.
This includes:
- factual reference to the European Dream initiative,
- citation of the project name in academic, journalistic, or informational contexts,
- references required to comply with attribution obligations for licensed content.
Such use must not:
- suggest official affiliation, endorsement, or representation,
- create confusion as to the origin or governance of a project or activity.
Prohibited use
Without prior written authorisation, the European Dream Identity may not be used:
- to represent another organisation, project, or initiative,
- in fundraising, advocacy, or governance activities,
- in a way that could reasonably cause confusion with the official initiative.
Forks or derivative projects based on European Dream’s open code or content must use a different name and visual identity.
Relationship with open licences
European Dream publishes:
- software under the European Union Public License (EUPL) ,
- editorial content under the Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) licence.
These licences apply only to the respective works and do not extend to the European Dream Identity.
